On Monday, April 24, the #GlueCrew had the honor of bringing GlueXperience 2023 to Las Vegas, as part of the Kaseya Connect Global 2023 conference.
From our own CTO and GM, Nadir Merchant, to guest speakers such as Allen Edwards from Eureka Process and multiple IT Glue Power Users who joined us on stage to share their own personal experiences, GlueXperience 2023 was a jam-packed day full of exciting sessions. We also announced several exciting new features and integrations. Read this blog for a full summary of GlueXperience 2023.
Thank you to everybody who joined us and for your support!
Let’s take a look at our April features and new releases. For a complete look into IT Glue updates, check out our Release Notes.
The IT Glue team is thrilled to announce the wide release of one of our most anticipated features — 1-Click Active Directory Password Rotation for Network Glue.
You can now easily rotate on-premises Active Directory passwords directly in IT Glue with just one click to mitigate credential stealing. The new password that you rotate in IT Glue will be automatically updated in Active Directory, reducing human errors since you no longer have to switch between tools.
With the 1-Click AD Password Rotation feature, you can view on-prem AD password details right in IT Glue, including last rotated, status, updated date, and the network and organization it belongs to. You will also be able to bulk-rotate multiple passwords at once, and AD passwords that are not yet recorded in IT Glue will be surfaced so you can update as needed and reduce security vulnerabilities.
This feature is available to IT Glue users with an active Network Glue subscription.

Leveraging the IT Glue API, this integration facilitates customer onboarding onto BullPhish ID by importing organizations and contacts from IT Glue, reducing the need for manual data entry. The organizations and contacts will remain linked, so any time you make changes on the IT Glue side, the changes will automatically sync to BullPhish ID.
The integration greatly simplifies the new customer setup and ongoing customer management within BullPhish ID, making it a great time saver.

With the option to toggle off SSO Access Control login for specific users, you are in complete control of their login experience. Rest assured; all users will still be protected with IT Glue MFA if they can log in via their IT Glue credentials.
We strongly recommend that you turn on SSO Access Control for an extra layer of security for the critical documentation you have stored in IT Glue.
Please note, once SSO Access Control is turned ON, you will have to manually add users to the “Enforced SSO Override” list for each individual user that is not part of your third-party SSO provider.

We know that Microsoft is used by 90% of IT professionals to manage user information, which is why we are proud to announce two new products from Microsoft that IT Glue now integrates with, Intune and Azure AD, so you can get complete visibility into any IT environment!
Complete your device information with the new Intune integration for a consolidated view of your managed, unmanaged, and mobile devices. Having all of this device data in your documentation solution means that you can then easily relate assets such as passwords, applications, how-to guides, and more for one-click access.

The Azure AD and Active Directory integrations are part of the IT Glue automation engine - Network Glue. In addition to Active Directory automation, Network Glue also automates the documentation of unmanaged devices, ports, connections, and network diagrams.

We understand how important data is for your business and we are excited to bring you several features to enhance how you can access, migrate, and leverage IT Glue information.
Migrating your documentation across IT Glue accounts while maintaining all asset relationships and folder organization is now possible with the IT Glue Cross-Account Migration service. Whether you have recently merged or been acquired by another business, the Migration Service will help you transfer your data as well as related items of existing assets, documents and users. This means you won’t have to recreate the relationships between hundreds of items you worked hard to record in the first place. Please note, this service is only available for accounts located in the North American data center.
If you would like to learn more about this service, please reach out to your Account Manager directly.
With the new API Endpoint and Powershell script, you can automatically schedule and export your account data and ensure there is an up-to-date, recent backup of your documentation available. Backing up is easy. First, set up a scheduled time for when the recurring account export occurs in IT Glue. Then utilize the API endpoint and the GitHub Powershell script to automatically export and download your IT Glue account data on a local drive. Finally, once you have the archive file of your IT Glue data, you may use your own method to remotely backup the data to your preferred cloud storage.
Learn more HERE.
Manual billing, no more! You can now leverage your existing IT Glue Flexible Assets documentation to automate your cloud services billing in BMS. BMS will automatically pull the IT Glue Flexible Asset quantity directly to the contract you’ve added the service to, and you have the option to change the quantity in IT Glue as needed. So, whether you want to leverage the Office 365 integration or include additional services, you can now automatically bill based on usage count.
Happy Spring! Nothing feels quite as satisfying as coming home to a house that sparkles. Spring is the perfect time to clean up not just your house but your documentation and processes as well. Drive more efficiency and standardization with checklist enhancements, save on administrative onboarding tasks with MyGlue Custom Role and streamline your ticketing workflow with Vorex and IT Glue integration. Keep reading for more information on the features IT Glue released in March.
IT Glue Checklists help standardize your processes across all clients and locations. This enables technicians to easily follow the steps outlined and ensures every end-user gets the same quality service every single time. Here are the updates made to checklists:

Onboarding MyGlue users just got easier! We know keeping your integrations in tip-top shape is always a priority for you. Understanding where the information is coming from is a key part of that. Now, if you have multiples of the same integration types, for example, Office 365 or RMM integrations, you can customize the name to easily differentiate where the different information is coming from.
If you missed our quarterly Product Update webinar at the beginning of February, you can watch the recording here or read about the updates on our blog.
Integrations are at the core of streamlining your documentation, and we are excited to announce three IT Glue integration updates this month.
With this new update, Microsoft 365 Contacts that have been newly detected and created inside IT Glue can be automatically pushed and synced into BMS. You no longer have to manually edit and save Microsoft 365 Contacts in IT Glue first for them to then show up in BMS. This ensures data integrity between your core tools - PSA and IT documentation.

We are bringing you even more visibility into your network with the latest switch port update for unmatched configurations. When you are viewing an IT Glue configuration, you never have to worry about missing unmatched Network Glue devices - they will automatically show up as an interface. This is especially helpful if you have a switch in IT Glue and you see a device that Network Glue picked up that you might not be aware of yet.

At IT Glue, we are constantly looking to further fortify your sensitive information. We have added Quick Notes to Vault so all the sensitive information that you store in Quick Notes, like a bank account number or entry codes for a building, can only be decrypted with a user-specific Vault passphrase. Save time in your daily work routine by safely storing critical information in Quick Notes. .
Visit our KB to learn more.
In this latest update, we made it possible for you to view all tickets from within the IT Glue platform. You can pick up, assign, update and close tickets without having to jump into BMS. Additionally, you are now able to store ticket notes directly into your BMS knowledge base so that you or your team can refer back to this information at a later time.
Here is more information about BMS ticketing inside IT Glue.
The Table of contents feature helps you swiftly navigate to the desired section of any document found in IT Glue. When you need to access information that would otherwise be lost or take hours to find, it is simply available at your fingertips.
Learn more about Table of Contents here.
With the new Autotask 1.6 version, you can avoid disconnection issues between IT Glue and Autotask by ensuring the integration is authenticated with an API User License. Simply reconnect Autotask to IT Glue once you authenticate with an API user.
Please visit our KB for more information on creating a new API User in Autotask.
At IT Glue, we take information security seriously and invest heavily in it. As you are aware, IT Glue is the only SOC 2 Type-II compliant IT documentation solution and comes with features like MFA, SSO, user permissions and many others designed to protect user data.
And just in time for cybersecurity awareness month, we are excited to announce the launch of three new features: API Endpoint for Activity Logs, myITchecklist™ and IP Access Control.
The API Endpoint for Activity Logs allows you to create a script to push IT Glue activity logs automatically to your preferred Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) solution so you can unify activity logs from many applications into one place. This enables better visibility across your infrastructure.
Find out more about activity logs here.
myITchecklist™ is an out-of-the-box checklist in IT Glue that IT professionals can deploy and utilize without the need for an advanced IT team to build out business processes. Earlier this year, we launched business process checklist templates based on the TruMethods framework, including “Getting Started with vCIO Processes” and “Strategy Meeting Process.”
We are also excited to announce additional security myITchecklist™ templates that are aimed at guiding you through a step-by-step process on how to further fortify your documentation, including “Secure IT Glue,” “Secure Documentation and Passwords - Best Practices” and many “Incident Response” checklists.
More on checklist templates here.
The threats to data have increased exponentially in recent days. The IP Access Control feature helps you boost security by limiting IT Glue access to a specified list of IP addresses. By restricting login attempts from untrusted sources, you can fortify your IT security and protect your valuable data.
Here is how you can set up this feature.
With Unknown Device Notification, you will receive a scheduled email with the total list of unknown devices added to your client’s network that haven’t previously been discovered or documented in IT Glue. This gives your technicians the opportunity to review these devices to match or create new documentation in IT Glue. This way, your team will always have the most up-to-date information on the devices they are working on for your clients.
Learn how you can set up this notification here.
As an IT Glue Administrator or Manager, the new Custom Role Setting in Network Glue gives you additional granularity on who on your team can be delegated to complete Network Glue administrative tasks. This includes the ability to deploy a collector and match or create new devices and contacts based on Network Glue information.
Find out more here.
The Password AutoFill browser extension helps users concentrate on their work instead of wasting time trying to find the required credentials. Whether you use web browsers like Chrome, Firefox or Chromium, this browser extension will automatically fill in the login fields with saved credentials that you have securely stored in IT Glue.
Additionally, it will auto-prompt you to save any newly created passwords on any webpages and allows you to securely access, store and create passwords. Not only can you easily store and access your passwords, you can even access the documentation in IT Glue via one simple keystroke. Just press “Q” and it will bring up the IT Glue search bar on any webpage.
